The idea behind MINISEUM was born from a love of exploring design through analog means. Models are both a representative tool and a workshop to test ideas. They create a new way of looking at the familiar.
Drawing on print material from Issues Magazine shop, ‘MINISEUM’ is a curated exhibition that invites passersby to pause and look closely. The installation embraces a near-universal nostalgia for miniatures and encourages a sense of wonder.
MINISEUM was on display in the storefront of Issues Magazine Shop on Dundas St. in Toronto as part of the 2025 DesignTO Festival. The beginning of the festival was launched with a MINISEUM opening reception, complete with posters, postcards, and an interactive station to make your own curated wall of art.

At the opening reception, visitors were invited to take part in curating a MINISEUM wall through a hands-on interactive. Printed postcards showed two endearing scenes from MINISEUM, with cut-out sections ready to be collaged with new print materials. Visitors selected from dozens of cut-out art pieces, assembling their own miniature exhibitions using glue sticks. Each personalized postcard became a take-home keepsake, ready to be displayed on their own walls!
